the little guests
please read this section carefully if you plan to attend with children ages 0–12. thank you!
for junior guests (ages 2 to 12)
childcare rsvp and deadline
we’re happy to offer optional childcare for junior guests between the ages of 2 and 12, available from 3:45 pm (ceremony start) to 8:30 pm (end of reception, before the dance floor opens). on the rsvp, you must opt in for childcare services to enroll your child. you can select which portions—ceremony, cocktail hour, and/or reception—you’d like your child to be enrolled in.
you can change your mind and adjust your childcare preferences up until 12/31/2025 by emailing us at alexandriatimmonswedding@gmail.com or texting jess/cris. we will not be able to accommodate requests past the deadline as we will need to secure the appropriate number of nannies.
safety and security
a check-in and check-out sheet will be provided and must be filled out each time to help the nannies maintain an accurate headcount and ensure your little one’s safety. nannies will be instructed to only release children to their parents.
while our venue is fully private, we’re taking extra precautions to keep your kids safe and sound.
if you opted in for childcare (regardless of when it starts), please check in with the nanny at the welcome table between 3:30–3:45pm. we’ll provide more detailed instructions at that time.
what to expect for your child
the nannies will be providing basic childcare service—not a full babysitting service—so you’ll still be expected to help if situation arises. if your child becomes upset and is unable to self-soothe, we kindly ask that you or your partner step in to help the nanny console your child, to help ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all guests. if your child is looking for you (especially during the more active cocktail hour), the nannies may reach out, so please keep your phone close.
we’ll provide engaging activities throughout the day to help keep your child entertained, please let us know what your child is allowed to do (e.g., screen time? what are they allowed to watch?). during the ceremony, kids will be in a nearby designated space with light activities and seating—you’ll even be able to see them from your seat if you choose the back rows. for cocktail hour, we encourage you to check them out and enjoy some yard games together (you can check them back in at any time until childcare service ends, just don’t forget to fill out the sheet)!
reception seating and meals
if you’d prefer your child to sit with you at the adult table during dinner, please opt out of reception childcare, as children enrolled for that portion will be seated at the kids’ table with the nannies and served a kid’s meal. we will try our best to seat parents who checked their kids in for reception childcare close to the kids’ table. however, space is limited and not guaranteed. luckily, the reception area is cozy, so you'll be able to check in on them easily.
nap rooms and quiet time
finally, from 6:30 pm to 10:00 pm, the bridal and groom suites will be available as quiet nap rooms. these are not staffed, so if your child needs a break or rest time, you or your spouse/partner will need to stay with them. a couple of pack-and-plays will be set up, so please reach out to jess if you think your child might need one, so we can ensure there are enough for everyone.
liability & release
the nannies will do their absolute best to provide attentive, loving care for your little ones. while we do not anticipate any issues, we understand that kids can be unpredictable. by using this service, parents acknowledge that the bride, groom, nannies, and venue cannot be held responsible for any accidents or incidents that may occur.
parents will still be responsible for tasks like diaper changes and bottle feeding. if you're unsure whether your child will be comfortable with the nanny supervision, we kindly suggest opting out of this service to ensure peace of mind for everyone.
a liability release form will be provided for parents to sign at check-in, ensuring clarity and understanding for all involved.
for tiny guests (under 2 years old)
we highly encourage children under 2 to have a cozy night at home so you can enjoy a fun, stress-free evening. however, if you're unable to secure childcare, we welcome our tiniest guests with open arms! however, we’re unable to provide dedicated childcare for children under 2. we just ask that parents stay mindful of other guests to help keep things smooth and enjoyable for everyone, especially during key moments like speeches and special activities. a quiet nap room will also be available if needed.
